Two school students lost their lives in a road accident after their motorcycle collided with an Indian Army truck near the Cantonment entry gate on the Faridkot–Sadiq road on Tuesday.The deceased have been identified as Harshanj Singh and Dhiraj, residents of Jhotiwala village in Faridkot district. The duo, students of Classes 11 and 12 respectively, were returning home after attending tuition classes in Faridkot when the accident occurred.According to initial reports, their motorcycle collided with an Army truck near the cantonment gate. One of the students died at the scene, while the other succumbed to injuries on the way to Ludhiana for medical treatment.Police reached the scene promptly. The incident has cast a pall of gloom over Jhotiwala village, with family members and residents mourning the untimely deaths of the two young students.The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.
