Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday informed Lok Sabha that three Pakistani terrorists killed in Operation Mahadev in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday were the ones who perpetrated the Pahalgam attack, killing 26 civilians on April 22.Participating in the ongoing debate on Operation Sindoor in Lok Sabha, Shah said the identities of all three terrorists have been confirmed through multiple probes including ballistic investigation conducted in Chandigarh FSL.The terrorists were killed in a joint operation by Para four unit of Armed forces, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police.Shah questioned former home minister P Chidambaram for asking how India knew the perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack were Pakistanis. He accused Chidambaram of giving a clean chit to Pakistan on the global stage. The Home Minister further said the Indian investigation agencies have recovered Pakistani voter IDs from two of the three killed terrorists, and even the chocolates they consumed while hiding in Jammu and Kashmir were made in Pakistan. He said the government satisfied itself about the identities of the slain terrorists by obtaining confirmation from Jammu and Kashmir locals who were arrested for sheltering them after the attack.“We recovered one US made M9 and two AK 47s front the three dead terrorists. The ballistic reports on these weapons were confirmed to me this morning at 4.30 am that the shots fired in Pahalgam and recovered from Baisaran were the same as fired from the arms found with three terrorists,” said Shah.He taunted the Opposition for not feeling happy at the revelations by the government.“I thought the opposition MPs would be elated at the news that the Pakistan terrorists are dead but their faces wear a black-ink-like look,” said the Home Minister.
