A 35-year-old Assam government engineer collapsed and died of a suspected heart attack at his son’s school in Jorhat last week, moments after collecting the child’s UKG results, officials said.The incident occurred on January 15 at Samford School, where Dipankar Bordoloi had gone after taking a day off from work to attend the result announcement. As he was leaving the school premises, Bordoloi suddenly collapsed.CCTV footage of the incident, which has since gone viral, shows Bordoloi walking in what appears to be the school lobby. As he approaches the exit gate, he appears to lose balance, briefly stretching out his hands as if trying to steady himself, before falling on his face.People present at the school rushed him to the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital for emergency treatment, where he was declared dead.Bordoloi, a resident of Sonari Gaon in Jorhat, was serving as an Executive Engineer in the Irrigation Department of the Assam government under the Teok Division. He is survived by his wife, a homemaker.According to the family, Bordoloi was physically fit and had no known history of major illness.
