4 states, 1 UT see rise in voters after SIR

Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala and the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands witnessed a rise in the number of voters after the final electoral rolls were released on Saturday, marking the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in these states and the UT.At the same time, Goa saw a decline of 27,426 voters after its final electoral roll was published following the SIR exercise.In Rajasthan, the number of voters increased by 10,48,605 — from 5.04 crore in the draft roll to 5.15 crore in the final roll — marking a 2.08 per cent rise.Jaipur recorded the highest percentage increase at 3.45 per cent, followed by Phalodi (3.22 per cent), Bharatpur (2.78 per cent), Sirohi (2.72 per cent) and Bundi (2.71 per cent).Chhattisgarh registered an increase of 2.34 lakh voters. The electorate rose from 1.84 crore in the draft roll to 1.87 crore in the final roll.Kerala also saw a rise in voters. According to the final roll released on Saturday, the electorate stood at 2,69,53,644 — an increase of 15,11,292 from the 2,54,42,352 voters recorded in the draft roll published on December 23, 2025.In Madhya Pradesh, the number of voters rose by 8,49,082. From 5,31,31,983 in the draft roll, the final tally increased to 5,39,81,065.Andaman and Nicobar Islands recorded an increase of 11,650 voters, with the total rising from 2,46,390 in the draft roll to 2,58,040 in the final list.Goa, however, saw a decline. The electorate fell from 10,84,992 in the draft roll to 10,57,566 in the final roll — a drop of 27,426 voters.
