In a coordinated response, the Phagwara police headed by SP Madhvi Sharma successfully traced five minor children reported missing from Chachoki village and reunited them safely with their families, bringing relief to the migrant community residing in the area.According to the SP, the children, all belonging to migrant families, had gone missing under unclear circumstances.The police registered a case under Section 346 of the Indian Penal Code and launched a search operation. After preliminary investigations, the missing children were located at Khera Mandir within the jurisdiction limits. Authorities clarified that the minors had wandered off while moving around during the Maha Shivaratri festivities and had not been abducted.They were safely handed over to their parents.The SP asked parents to remain vigilant during large religious gatherings and festivals, where crowded environments could easily lead to children getting separated.
