The BJP on Thursday demanded strict action against all the Congress women MPs who crossed over to the treasury side on Wednesday just before Prime Minister Narendra Modi was to reply to the debate on the President’s address and potentially positioned themselves to block his path.”In hindsight the PM did the right thing by not coming to the Lok Sabha yesterday because anything untoward could have happened. The women MPs in question had positioned themselves near the seat of the PM, they were holding banners with objectionable remarks written all over and it could have turned unseemly and ugly. The PM decided not to come because he wanted the decorum and dignity of the House intact,” BJP MP Aprajita Sarangi said.BJP chief whip in LS Sanjay Jaiswal said the levels of opposition behaviour had declined “ever since Rahul Gandhi became leader of opposition.” “Rahul Gandhi treats the Lok Sabha chamber as his tourist destination as if he can do and say anything. What he wears to the house, how he talks and conducts himself, everything raises a question. We want strictest action against all MPs whose disruptions stalled the LS proceedings yesterday,” Jaiswal said.Meanwhile the LS is expected to stay disrupted on Friday also.
