Bomb threat emails sent to 12 Noida, 3 Delhi schools amid CBSE exams

At least 12 schools in Noida received bomb threat emails on Thursday amid the ongoing Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations, triggering panic and precautionary evacuations.According to police officials, the threats were received via email during examination hours.School authorities immediately evacuated students and staff from the premises and informed parents.Noida Police teams rushed to the affected campuses, along with bomb disposal squads and dog squads, to conduct thorough searches.Meanwhile, at least three schools in Delhi also received similar bomb threats on Thursday morning, prompting swift action by emergency agencies. An official from the Delhi Fire Services said threat emails were sent to CRPF Public School and St Thomas School in Dwarka, and DAV Centenary Public School in Paschim Enclave.Fire tenders and rescue teams were deployed as a precaution. Police teams, bomb disposal units, and local administration officials conducted extensive search operations. No suspicious objects were found during preliminary checks, officials said, adding that detailed sanitisation drives were underway.Cyber teams have been alerted to trace the origin and authenticity of the emails.
