In yet another shocker from millenium city a 19-year-old North eastern woman woman faced brutalites at hands of lives in partner and is being treated at to Safdarjung Hospital in a critical condition.In her statement to the Gurugram police, the victim hailing from Tripura has highlighted how he poured sanitiser on her private parts and set it on fire when she sought marital commitment.She alleged that the accused, Shivam (19), then struck her on the head with a metal bottle, smashed it against household furniture, and went on to attack her with a knife.According to her, violence continued for three consecutive days. The victim is a biotechnology student studying in Gurugram.She alleged that her partner assaulted her on February 19 after an argument over marriage plans. Medical examinations have confirmed that the woman suffered multiple severe injuries, the police said.Gurugram DCP (South) Hitesh Yadav said the survivor was first taken to a government hospital in Gurugram in a critical state. She was later shifted to AIIMS and then Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi for advanced treatment due to the seriousness of her injuries.The case came to light after the victim’s mother alerted the police.”She was shattered and in pain and pleaded to be rescued. We had no idea about her live-in relationship,” said the victim’s mother, who called the police. An FIR has been registered against the accused under Sections 115 (2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 118 (1) (causing hurt by dangerous weapons), 127 (2) (wrongful confinement), 69 (sexual intercourse by deceitful means or false promise of marriage), and 351(2) (criminal intimidation).
