Unidentified miscreants fired gunshots at a car of the sarpanch of Kundal village in Abohar subdivision here on Friday night.In his complaint to the nearby Kabarwala police station, Jagmandeep Singh Minku stated that he was not in the car at the time of the incident. He claimed that he had been receiving death threats.Minku stated that he was attending his brother-in-law’s wedding in Ratta Tibba village when someone fired at his bulletproof car from behind. He added that he came to know about it when he reached the car around 9.30 pm while returning from the wedding.He said he was also attacked at Kular village in Abohar about 20 days ago, for which the Wahabwala police station had registered a case against four persons. He has also faced several attempts on his life in the past. Minku said he had been receiving death threats on his phone.The Kabarwala police have started an investigation into the incident.
