The BJP will launch its West Bengal election campaign on Sunday with a clarion call for change of guard.The party said BJP chief Nitin Nabin would launch the “Parivartan Yatra” to end the TMC’s rule. Nabin will be on a two-day visit to the state tomorrow and will signal the official commencement of a statewide campaign to what the party described as “restoration of democracy and development in West Bengal”.A campaign for change, “Paltano Daurkar, Chai BJP Sorkar” (Change is the need of the hour, Bengal wants the BJP government) will be at the heart of the campaign launch with former BJP president JP Nadda in attendance.”In the last more than a decade, the citizens of West Bengal are suffering from corrupt, undemocratic, and anti-people governance under the Trinamool Congress (TMC). The campaign launch will mark the launch of nine simultaneous Parivartan Yatras. This initiative, under the call for change, is designed to establish a formidable grassroots presence of a good governance model of BJP ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections,” BJP leaders said today.The yatras will be flagged off from five strategic locations on March 1 and four additional locations on March 2. Nabin will personally lead this charge by flagging off a major Parivartan Yatra in Siliguri tomorrow.He will arrive at Bagdogra Airport on Sunday where he will be accorded a welcome by senior BJP leaders. The BJP said Nabin would flag off the Parivartan Yatra at Rasmela Math (Coochbehar, Siliguri and Kolkata) and address a gathering on this occasion.
