Several Punjabis, who were stuck in Dubai due to the West Asia conflict, reached here on Thursday.Meanwhile, actor Sonu Sood announced free accommodation for people stranded in Dubai, irrespective of their nationality. In a video message on social media, the actor asked those stuck in Dubai to reach out to him if they needed a place to stay.Among those who returned from Dubai was Neeru Garg, Principal of SSD Girls’ College in Bathinda. She, along with her husband Parveen Garg, arrived at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport in Mohali.Along with them, Sanjeev Sardha and Satyam Sardha from Pathankot, and Vishal and Harjot Kaur from Patiala also returned safely.Sunny Singh Ahluwalia, general secretary of the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab and Chairman of the Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board, welcomed them at the Mohali airport.Speaking after her return, Neeru Garg expressed gratitude to those who supported them during the ordeal. She said the response from people back home and Indians, especially her ex-students living abroad, was overwhelming.During the crisis, the couple initially struggled to find accommodation after being asked to vacate the airport late at night. They then moved to a hotel located about 20 km from Sharjah airport, which they had to leave the next day.Later, they shifted to the residence of an acquaintance arranged through their neighbours in Bathinda, where they stayed until arrangements were made for their return.Jalandhar industrialists among those stuck in QatarJalandhar: At least seven industrialists from Jalandhar, who were scheduled to attend a major hand-tool exhibition in Germany, are currently stuck in Qatar.Ashwani Kumar, a member of the Federation of Indian Export Organisation, said his nephew Arjun Kumar was among those stuck in Qatar. He has urged the Centre to ensure their safe return at the earliest. Kumar said those stuck in Qatar are Vaibhav Malhotra, Raghav Shoor, Keshav Shoor, Jotinder Singh Bhatia, Inder Pal Singh, and Gurjit Singh Bhatia.
