Balochistan [Pakistan], March 6 (ANI): The discovery of two bodies in the Panjgur district of Balochistan has intensified concerns over alleged enforced disappearances in the region, with rights groups accusing Pakistani security forces of involvement. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) claimed that armed individuals had previously taken the victims, who were believed to be working alongside state-backed forces, as reported by The Balochistan Post.According to The Balochistan Post, in a statement, the BYC alleged that the killings followed the abduction of two young men, raising serious questions about the conduct of security operations in Balochistan. The organisation said the incidents reflect a continuing pattern of disappearances and suspected extrajudicial actions in the province.One of the deceased was identified as Yahya Baloch, a 17-year-old student and the son of Fazal Karim. According to details shared by the BYC, he was allegedly taken from his residence in the Khudabadan area of Panjgur on March 3.The group claimed that armed men accompanied by personnel from the Frontier Corps (FC) carried out the raid without presenting any legal warrant or providing grounds for the detention. The organisation further alleged that the teenager was never formally charged nor brought before a court after being taken into custody.Later, his body was reportedly discovered close to a Frontier Corps camp in Panjgur, an incident that the BYC said has left the victim’s family in deep grief.The BYC also highlighted another case involving a man with the same name, Yahya Baloch, son of Noor Mohammad. He was described as a driver from the Parom area of Panjgur.According to the group, he was allegedly taken by unidentified armed men from Airport Road in the Chitkan area on the evening of October 1, as highlighted by The Balochistan Post. His family had been searching for information about his fate for months.The group stated that his body was eventually recovered from the Washbud area of Panjgur on March 3.The BYC said the cases once again expose what it called a worsening human rights situation in Balochistan, where reports of enforced disappearances and unexplained killings continue to surface.
