Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East and growing uncertainty across the region, hundreds of Indians were left stranded in Dubai as flights were cancelled across the UAE.They were tired, worried and had nowhere to go.That was when two Indian businessmen opened their houses to them and offered food, beds and safety.While, Yogesh Doshi, Chairman of the Al Mizan Group, in Dubai opened his entire residential building of 64 apartments to Indians left stranded in the city. The accommodation is being provided free of cost and includes basic facilities such as food and temporary lodging.The initiative is being carried out in coordination with the Indian People’s Forum UAE and the Consulate General of India in Dubai. So far, more than 125 Indians, including families with children, have been given temporary shelter during the difficult period.With no clear travel options and continuous security alerts due to regional tensions, they were facing a stressful situation. They described the accommodation as a huge relief that provided them with safety and stability.In a similar humanitarian effort in Ajman, UAE-based businessman Dhiraj Jain from Rajasthan has converted his large farmhouse into a temporary shelter for stranded travellers. The facility provides free meals and lodging for those who have run out of money or accommodation. Jain has also deployed 11 cars, including six Rolls-Royce vehicles, to transport stranded passengers from hotels and other locations to the farmhouse.The crisis in the Middle East escalated after joint US-Israel strikes on Iran on February 28, triggering retaliatory attacks and heightened instability across the region.
