Punjab has informed Rajasthan that the Rajasthan feeder canal of the Indira Gandhi Canal Project (IGNP) will remain closed from March 20 to May 3 to carry out the second phase of relining work.The 1.5-month closure is intended to complete construction of remaining canal sections in Punjab. Officials said the period could be extended by up to 60 days, if required.
