Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring said today that much against the hype and rhetoric created by BJP, the party’s rally in Moga proved to be a complete “damp squib”, despite the Punjab Government’s support.“It was an outsourced show, with outsourced hosts and outsourced guests,” Warring remarked, saying that the rally was “hosted” by the AAP government with full support, and people were transported from neighbouring states like Rajasthan and Haryana, both ruled by BJP.“There was nothing Punjabi about BJP’s Punjab rally, as everything was outsourced,” he remarked. The PCC president noted that BJP’s rally was “wholeheartedly” supported by the AAP government in Punjab, pointing out how the Punjab Police was detaining those whom it suspected of opposing the rally. He said the AAP government’s support for BJP’s rally was not lost on the people of Punjab, who already know that AAP is the other version of BJP. Warring observed that what the Union Home Minister said today is already known to the people of Punjab, asking what was new about it.“Everyone in Punjab knows about the problems, you should have offered some solutions, which you failed to do,” he told Shah, adding, “people will no longer be carried away by your shallow and hollow rhetoric”.
