Superstar Hrithik Roshan on Thursday unveiled the first look of his two home production projects — ensemble thriller series “Storm” and “Mess”, a movie starring Pratik Gandhi. The actor has joined hands with streamer Prime Video for the two projects that he will produce under his banner HRX Films.”I’m an actor and I’ve a fear of failure. Every instinct in my body tells me, ‘This is impossible’. But I push through that impossibility and out of that space HRX was born to inspire people who face impossible challenges in their lives, like I did.”But I sit on producer’s chair with HRX Films with a different feeling. I sit solely and purely out of love, my irreplaceable, irrevocable and unconditional love for cinema. Here is where I truly feel the freedom,” the actor said at the Prime Video slate announcement press conference.Hrithik thanked his cousin Eshaan Roshan, who he said, is the force behind HRX Films, for helping him bring out great stories under their banner. The 52-year-old star is thrilled about his feature film, “Mess”, which he described as a “straight-faced crazy comedy”. It is directed by Rajesh A Krishnan of “Lootcase” fame and it also stars Ranvir Shorey, Gajraj Rao, Anurag Thakur.”There was this script called ‘Mess’, which was lying on my shelf and I didn’t know what to do. Eshaan kept saying ‘Read it.’ I didn’t know what to do with it. Until the pandemic (happened) and I watched ‘Lootcase’ and the dots connected and I think Rajesh Krishnan was the one who could justify the script,” he said.”Mess” is about a group of robbers who invade the family house of a man with OCD, they slowly realise, it’s not the family but them who need to survive this one-night standoff, according to the official synopsis.”Storm” is a series that revolves around five women, each nursing wounds, dreams, and deadly secrets, and drawn into a web of deception that threatens to crush them or set them free when a sustainable housing project unravels into a deadly scam.It is helmed by Ajitpal Singh of “Tabbar” fame, who also serves as a creator and co-writer along with Francois Lunel and Swati Das.”When he (Eshaan) insisted I watch the show, ‘Tabbar’ and meet Ajitpal (Singh) and I connected with his cinematic mind and I felt I’ve to do something with him. We started chatting and ‘Storm’ emerged after that conversation,” Hrithik said.Actors Parvathy Thiruvothu, Alaya F, Srishti Shrivastava, Rrama Sharma, and Saba Azad, Suvinder Pal Vicky, Ashish Vidyarthi, Rajit Kapur, Ashok Pathak, Gautam Rode, Priyanka Setia, Ranjan Raj round out the cast of “Storm”.Hrithik’s banner HRX Films is a division of his father Rakesh Roshan’s production house FilmKraft Productions, which has been behind the filmmaker’s iconic movies such as “Karan Arjun”, “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai”, “Koi Mil Gaya” and “Krissh”.
