The Supreme Court on Wednesday set up an SIT consisting of three women IPS officers to probe the Gurugram minor’s rape case.A three-judge Bench led by CJI Surya Kant issued show-cause notices to Gurugram Police officers involved in the probe to explain why disciplinary action should not be taken against them.The Bench asked the Child Welfare Committee members to explain why they should not be removed for their insensitive handling of the case.The top court asked the Gurugram Police to hand over the entire case file to the SIT by Thursday.It posted the matter for April 6.
