The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh witnessed fresh snowfall on Sunday, while the remaining parts of the state recorded light to moderate rainfall. The State Meteorological Department has issued orange and yellow weather warnings for various districts of the state for March 30.Light snowfall was witnessed in isolated places of the tribal district Lahaul and Spiti, while Solan received 18.4 mm of rain, Manali 14 mm, Bhuntar 8 mm, and Shimla, Mandi, and Kangra received 4 mm each.As per the department, snowfall and rain are expected to continue in Himachal Pradesh till April 4. Also, an orange weather warning has been issued for Shimla, Mandi, and Kullu districts for March 30, resulting in hailstorms accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning along with gusty winds in isolated places of these districts.A yellow weather warning has also been issued for Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, and Chamba districts for March 30, resulting in thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty winds in isolated places of these districts.The department has forecasted continuous snowfall and rain in the state till April 4, with intensified showers across the state on April 3 and 4. Minimum temperatures, in the next 48 hours are expected to drop by 2°C to 4°C in the next 48 hours, while maximum temperatures are very likely to fall by 4°C to 7°C at the same time.Meanwhile, minimum temperatures on Sunday were 3°C to 5°C above normal, ranging between 3°C and 18 °C. However, maximum temperatures across the state were 2°C to 3°C below normal and ranged between 11°C and 28 °C.Minimum temperature in Shimla was 12°C, Dharamshala 6.5°C, Manali 10.4°C, Kangra 15.2°C, Mandi 17.1°C, Solan 13.2°C, Bilaspur 16°C, Kalpa 6.6°C, Sundernagar 16°C, Bhuntar 14.8°C, Kufri 8.6°C, Kasauli 14.7°C, Paonta Sahib 18°C and Kukumseri 4.2°C.The highest maximum temperature in the state was 28.6°C, which was recorded in Una, while the lowest minimum temperature in the state was 3.1°C, which was recorded in Tabo in the Lahaul and Spiti district.
