A humanoid robot, that was showing off his dance moves, apparently suffered an embarrassing moment. The robot, a Unitree Robotics G1 model, accidently struck a young boy in the face after its flailing arm caught him off guard.
The incident took in place China’s Shaanxi province on March 21.
Even though its handlers were quick to move the machine away, the damage had been done.
Meanwhile, the bot continued its programmed routine in the centre of the ring.
Weighing approximately 35 kg, it is priced from around $13,500, and is designed for research, education and commercial use.

Robot uprising also start small, maybe a slap here, a kick there. All to desensitize humans.

Netizens react:
A user reacted, “What a dangerous performance.” Another noted, “The child saw it coming but could not move out of the way in time.” A third remarked, “Being struck by metal is genuinely painful.” “A humanoid robot striking a child was evidence that such machines are far from ready for unsupervised public use,” a fourth commented.
Not an isolated incident
Earlier this year, one of the firm’s robots accidentally kicked its human handler. And earlier this month, another Unitree robot was ‘arrested’ by police in Macau after it frightened an elderly woman.
