An autorickshaw driver has been arrested for brutally assaulting a four-year-old boy in Maharashtra’s Palghar district, police said on Tuesday.The arrest came after a viral video from Vasai showed the accused tossing a four-year-old boy to the ground and smashing his head on an iron rod after an argument with the boy’s father.The incident, which took place in a housing society on Monday, was captured on CCTV, police said.The accused, identified as Sandeep Pawar, allegedly attacked the child in retaliation for a minor dispute he had with the child’s father, Atul Kondhare.CCTV footage from the housing society showed Pawar dragging the boy out of the autorickshaw by his legs and proceeding to slam the child’s head against an iron rod.The boy was rushed to a hospital in Mira Road, where his condition is stated to be critical.
