Haryana Governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh, accompanied by his wife Mitra Ghosh, on Tuesday visited the serene environs of Siswan Lake and the adjoining forest reserve to experience its mesmerizing natural beauty and ecological richness.During the visit, Governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh, Lady Governor Smt Mitra Ghosh and Secretary, Haryana Lok Bhavan, DK Behera took the motorboat ride and previewed the surroundings of Shivalik Hills. He also visited the museum, which showcases the ecological and cultural heritage of the region and has been meticulously preserved by the department.Impressed by the pristine surroundings, tranquil waters and the well-maintained infrastructure, Ghosh lauded the efforts of the Forest Department, Punjab, for preserving this natural hidden trail.Divisional Forest Officer Amneet Singh apprised him about the significance of the lake, the biodiversity of the forest reserve and the conservation efforts undertaken by the Forest Department, Punjab.State Information Commissioner, Punjab, Sh. Harpreet Sandhu presented a portrait of the Siswan Lake to Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh and his wife, along with personalized name plates and flower pots as a token of respect and remembrance.
