Air India Group and IndiGo would continue parallel operations to and from West Asia on Thursday, with Air India and Air India Express planning 34 flights and IndiGo scheduling 30 services, as airlines maintain calibrated operations amid evolving airspace conditions.Air India said 18 of its 34 flights would be non-scheduled services to and from the United Arab Emirates, subject to slot availability and prevailing operational conditions.These flights are being operated with approvals from Indian authorities and UAE regulators. Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah would remain dependent on ad-hoc operations.Air India and Air India Express would operate flights from Delhi to Dubai, while Abu Dhabi would be connected by Air India Express services from Delhi, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mangalore and Mumbai.Sharjah would see services from Amritsar and Kannur.No operations are planned for Ras Al Khaimah and Al Ain. In Oman, scheduled services would continue on the Muscat route, with Air India Express operating from Delhi and Mumbai, while Salalah remains suspended.Saudi Arabia would see partial scheduled connectivity. Jeddah would be served by Air India from Mumbai and by Air India Express from Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kozhikode.Riyadh would have scheduled services by Air India from Delhi and by Air India Express from Kozhikode. Dammam remains without operations. Flights to Bahrain, Doha, Kuwait and Tel Aviv continue to remain suspended.IndiGo, in parallel, has scheduled 30 flights across its Middle East network, linking Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Kochi with destinations, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah, Muscat and Sharjah.“Given the dynamic situation across the Middle East, staying informed becomes essential. Flight schedules may change and hence we urge our customers to regularly check their flight status before leaving for the airport. For April 2, IndiGo continues to operate select flights, with teams working closely to ensure a smooth travel experience,” the airline said.Air India Group said its long-haul services to North America, Europe, and Australia remain unaffected and continue as per schedule, indicating disruptions are limited to West Asia sectors.Passengers affected by cancellations have been offered free rebooking or full refunds, while Air India Express has enabled UAE-bound passengers to shift to alternate flights within its network without additional charges.
