Unidentified persons fired several rounds outside a house in Sialka village under the Mattewal police station on Tuesday night. A case has been registered, but police are yet to identify the assailants, triggering panic among family members.SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia shared videos of the incident, questioning the Punjab Government’s law and order. “People in Punjab are living in fear due to repeated firing and blasts,” he said, urging CM Bhagwant Mann and DGP Gaurav Yadav to take action.Rashpal Singh, the homeowner, said the family was asleep when they heard gunshots. Villagers found eight empty bullet casings, with bullets hitting the gate and outer wall. Rashpal denied any enmity or threats, appealing to police to crack the case.SHO Avtar Singh said a case under attempt to murder and the Arms Act sections has been registered. CCTV footage is being analysed to identify those involved.
