BJP Jalandhar, Urban, today organised a huge march against the Punjab Government following the recent grenade blast in Chandigarh. The march was taken out from Sri Ram Chowk — Company Bagh to Bhagwan Valmiki Chowk — Jyoti Chowk, amidst participation of hundreds of BJP workers. During the march, leaders protested against the working system of the state government led by Bhagwant Mann, which they said had proved to be a failure in view of the recent incidents, including the grenade blast outside the BJP headquarters at Sector 37 in Chandigarh.Alleging the collapse of law and order in the state , BJP leaders walked with black boards and posters with slogans — ‘Dar ate dehshat di rajneeti nahi chalegi’, ‘Vakhwadi taaktan murdabad’, ‘Aman Shanti de duhmanan nu benakaab karo’.BJP National Executive member Manoranjan Kalia; State General Secretary Rakesh Rathore; Former Parliamentary Secretary and State Vice President KD Bhandari; Former Chief Parliamentary Secretary MLA Avinash Chandra Kaler; Former MLA Sheetal Angural; Former MLA Jagbir Brar; leaders Sarabjit Makkar, Karmajeet Kaur Chaudhary, Anil Sachar, Former District President Raman Pabbi, Vipan Sabharwal, Diwan Amit Arora, District General Secretary Ashok Sarin Hikki, among others, were present.Kalia said, “First there were continuous grenade attacks on the police stations of Punjab, then Baba Saheb Dr BR Ambedkar’s statue was vandalised, and yesterday the state-level office of BJP in Chandigarh was attacked. This series of events is a sign of efforts to break the communal unity of the state.”Among others, leaders Manish Vij, Ashwini Bhandari, Amit Bhatia, Hitesh Syal, Sanjeev Sharma Mani, Harjinder Singh Babu Arora, Ravinder Dhir, were also present.
