Industrialist Gautam Adani and his wife Preeti Adani had a private dinner meeting with veteran BJP leader and former Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday evening. Captain Amarinder Singh shared a photograph of the meeting on his Facebook account shortly after, writing: “It was a pleasure to have had Gautam and Preeti Adani for dinner this evening. What he is doing for the country amazes me and I wish him a great future. India needs people like him.”According to sources, the Adani couple was visiting Shimla and nearby areas in Himachal Pradesh. Gautam Adani personally called Captain Amarinder Singh, and the two decided to meet for dinner at the latter’s farmhouse in Siswan (near New Chandigarh, Mohali district).The shared image shows the three posing together in front of a large portrait at the farmhouse, with Captain Amarinder in a light pink turban and dark blue outfit, Gautam Adani in a black vest over a white shirt, and Preeti Adani in a traditional red embroidered outfit.The gathering was described as cordial and informal. Sources indicated that the discussions touched upon the political situation in Punjab as well as national issues.The conversation also covered the Adani Group’s manufacturing and business activities, with the industrialist sharing insights into his ongoing projects and vision for India’s development.
