A 29-year-old man from Sangrur district died of a suspected drug overdose in Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar on Friday after being found unconscious near a rail overbridge.The victim, identified as Jagsir Singh, a resident of Samundgarh village in Dhuri tehsil, was spotted lying in bushes at a deserted spot during the morning hours. The police rushed him to the district hospital in an ambulance, but he succumbed on the way.According to the police, Jagsir had been working as a security guard at a private hospital in Sriganganagar for the past two months. He is suspected to have consumed drugs in excess and remained unconscious at the spot throughout the night.Police said the deceased was unmarried and is survived by two married sisters, one residing in Sangrur, and the other in Panjawa village of Abohar.In a tragic coincidence, his father, Kashmir Singh, also died in a road accident near Samundgarh village on the same day.
