The family of deceased Punjab Warehousing Corporation official Gagandeep Singh Randhawa alleged on Thursday that they’re being pressured by former minister Laljit Singh Bhullar’s family to compromise in the suicide case.Randhawa’s wife Opinder Kaur Randhawa stated they’re receiving messages suggesting they’re open to a compromise, but “we won’t compromise as the incident has devastated our family”.She demanded an ED probe into Bhullar’s alleged corruption and assets, citing accusations by several officials and an NRI woman against Bhullar for threats and blackmail.Randhawa’s wife expressed dismay over the Punjab Government’s handling of the case, saying no authorities have approached them for investigation 20 days after the Chief Minister announced a probe. She reiterated her demand for a CBI probe, questioning why Bhullar’s father Sukhdev Singh Bhullar and PA Dilbagh Singh haven’t been arrested despite evidence of their involvement.“I have proofs that Dilbagh Singh, who is the Block Samiti head for Patti, was in contact with police officials,” she claimed. She also expressed concern that other individuals present in the room during key incidents had not been included in the FIR despite senior police officials being briefed about them.“The Chief Minister claims that the Punjab Police can handle the case, but the accused former minister continues to get VIP treatment and freely gave interviews. Although sections related to destruction of evidence have been added, the question remains why crucial evidence was not secured on the very first day,” she said.
