The BJP on Friday unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah outlining a strong, deadline-driven roadmap focused on welfare, governance, and law and order.Presenting the party’s vision, the Union Home Minister struck a hard line on illegal immigration, coining the slogan ‘Detect, Delete, Deport’ as part of BJP’s proposed crackdown on infiltrators.The manifesto places significant emphasis on women-centric welfare measures, including a promise of Rs 3,000 in monthly financial assistance. It also pledges special health screening programmes for women and the full rollout of Central schemes such as Ayushman Bharat across the state.On governance and economic reforms, the BJP has assured implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations within 45 days of coming to power. The party also committed to introducing a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) within six months, along with releasing a white paper on alleged corruption.Framing the manifesto as a “high-stakes, time-bound commitment,” Shah said the BJP’s Bengal pitch centres on empowering women, strengthening welfare delivery, and ensuring stricter enforcement of law and order.
