Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today honoured Class VIII state toppers, while celebrating the academic excellence of young girls who have brought laurels to the state. Among the prominent awardees were Tamanna and Jashandeep Kaur from the Faridkot district, who secured the first and third positions in the state, respectively.The Chief Minister met meritorious students and their families to personally congratulate them for their success.Hailing from Jaito town of Faridkot, Tamanna clinched the top spot in the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class VIII results, scoring near-perfect marks.Also from the same district, Jashandeep displayed exceptional academic prowess to secure the third position in the merit list.During the ceremony, CM Mann said such children play a role in ensuring a bright future for Punjab. He reiterated the government’s commitment to transforming the education sector, stating: ”Our daughters are consistently outshining expectations. By providing world-class infrastructure and quality education in government schools, we are ensuring that talent from even the most humble backgrounds can reach the top.”The Chief Minister assured continued support for the students’ future endeavours, noting that the success of students from Faridkot serves as an inspiration for the entire state. He encouraged the toppers to maintain their momentum and aim for prestigious professional careers, promising that the state would stand by them as a facilitator.The event was attended by senior officials from the Education Department and proud parents, marking a day of celebration for the Faridkot district.
