Former Australian pacer Brett Lee on Monday shared a string of pictures on Instagram, featuring late legendry singer Asha Bhosle and wrote an emotional note remembering his collaboration with her.Lee and Bhosle collaborated on the song, ‘You’re the One for Me’ in 2006 during the ICC Champions Trophy played in India. In the social media post, Lee wrote, “I had the pleasure of writing and recording You’re the One for Me with Asha Bhosle back in 2006. It’s something I’ll always be incredibly grateful for.”He mentioned how her humility, kindness, warmth and generosity stayed with him despite her having such an extraordinary talent and achieving humongous success in life.Lee added, “My thoughts are with her family and friends at this time. I feel very fortunate to have shared even a small moment with someone so special. There’s no doubt her legacy will live on for generations to come.”Talking about the song, Lee mentioned in his autobiography ‘My Life: Brett Lee’, released in 2011, about the collaboration in a compilation album featuring international and Bollywood artistes. He mentioned that it was a huge opportunity for him and that he could not believe it was happening. Taking time out of his busy cricket schedule, Lee shot the song in four hours. The song eventually became a chartbuster and marked the ‘coming together’ of legends from both music and cricket. Bhosle’s death at the age of 92, on Sunday, in Mumbai left the Indian film industry in mourning.
