There seems to be no end to “venom spewing” between Aam Aadmi Party and its now rebel Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, who was recently removed as the party’s deputy leader in Rajya Sabha and replaced by Ashok Mittal.After Chadha’s side claimed that his security cover was withdrawn by the Punjab government and he was given Z-plus security by the Centre, AAP national spokesperson Anurag Dhanda wonders if Chadha was behind the ED raid on Mittal.“Since the two incidents occurred on the same day — granting Z-plus security to Chadha on the day of the ED raid on Mittal, it cannot be a coincidence. He has been given security so that the BJP can use him when they want,” he said.Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had called Chadha as being “compromised”.Gurdaspur MP Sukhjinder Randhawa said weaponising security in a democracy is a constitutional betrayal and demanded full transparency over Raghav Chadha’s security withdrawal and called the AAP government’s conduct arbitrary and politically motivated. “The AAP government is wasting taxpayers’ money on political stunts,” he said.
