A 62-year-old man and his son were stabbed to death, while a relative was injured, in a shocking double murder at Tara Apartments in south Delhi’s Alaknanda area on Friday evening, police said.The deceased have been identified as Rakesh Sood (62) and his son Karan Sood (27). Their relative Rahul sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment, they added.The accused, identified as Asad, a resident of the same apartment complex, has been detained by the police.According to officials, the incident took place around 6:15 pm when the accused allegedly called the victims outside their residence.Police said the Sood family had been living in the apartment complex for nearly 15 years and were involved in the property business.Preliminary investigation suggests that the accused and the victims had an ongoing dispute for nearly a year over financial and parking issues.On Friday evening, a fresh argument broke out between the two sides, which soon escalated into violence. Asad allegedly attacked the victims with a sharp weapon, stabbing them multiple times outside the O-Block premises, an official said.All three injured persons were rushed to a private hospital in Saket, where doctors declared Rakesh Sood and Karan Sood brought dead. Rahul is reported to be stable, the cop added.Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Anant Mittal said a PCR call was received regarding a dispute between residents. Investigation revealed that the attack stemmed from a long-standing enmity.
