In a move that is being watched with great interest by BJP and NDA camp in Tamil Nadu, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal arrived in Chennai today to campaign for and with DMK president and state Chief Minister MK Stalin.The two leaders are holding a roadshow today to launch their election campaign in strong support of DMK.The roadshow will move from the Pulianthope P1 police station to Masjid, Thattankulam, Choolai, and will mark the first public endorsement of Stalin by any leader of the opposition INDIA bloc.The presence of Kejriwal alongside Stalin — at a time when Rahul Gandhi and Stalin haven’t campaigned together even once — has triggered a debate as to whether Stalin sees Gandhi as a lesser campaigner than the AAP national convenor.A few days ago, the ruling DMK had announced that Stalin and Rahul would not campaign together and would have separate canvassing plans.The party had cited a clash in the schedules of the two leaders to explain the odd absence of a joint Rahul-Stalin rally or roadshow.With Kejriwal making an appearance alongside Stalin for a roadshow today, political circles in Tamil Nadu are abuzz with speculation over whether the DMK sees Kejriwal as a greater electoral asset in the state than Gandhi.BJP and AIADMK are already playing on what they call a “visible distance between the Congress and DMK” on the ground.The Congress is contesting 28 seats as part of Secular Progressive Alliance led by Stalin in Tamil Nadu, which goes to the polls on April 23.The state has 234 seats.
