GNNC Doraha students secure 11 of top 25 ranks in Panjab University merit list

Students of the third semester of the B. Com class of Guru Nanak National College (GNNC) in Doraha, Ludhiana, have successfully grabbed a total of 11 ranks of the first 25 shown in the university merit list of Panjab University.Khushminder Singh secured an 8.54 grade and clinched the 11th rank in the Panjab University merit list. Komalpreet Kaur, with an 8.25 grade, secured the 18th rank, while Tanish was also ranked 18th with a similar grade point.Simranjot Kaur secured 8.17 grade marks and obtained 20th rank. Similarly, Lovleen Kaur and Lovepreet Kaur both secured an 8.13 grade and jointly grabbed the 21st rank.Arshpreet Kaur secured an 8.08 grade and 22nd rank. Anmolpreet Kaur got an 8.04 grade and secured the 23rd rank. Jashanpreet Kaur, Sukhmanveer Kaur and Gurcharan Singh scored 8.0 grade and a joint rank of 24. Babreet Kaur with 7.96 grade marks secured 25th rank in the merit list.The toppers were on cloud nine as they expressed that it was the constant guidance of their teachers and support of their parents which have enabled them to gain top positions.Khushwinder, who has been placed at rank 11th in the PU merit list, shared that time management and discipline helped him achieve a good score. Similarly, Komalpreet and Tanish together opined that consistency and self-discipline were the key to success. “I prepared a timetable and followed it religiously,” expressed Simranjot Kaur.Ranjit Kaur, head of the postgraduate department of commerce and business administration, said, “These students have been performing consistently well and are very hardworking and diligent. We are proud to have such a lot of students with us, as they chiefly belong to a rural background and securing top ranks in the university exams proves that they have the capacity to work wonders in their lives.”College Principal Dr. Sarvjeet Brar said, “Our students generally belong to the rural areas. Extra efforts have to be put in to bring them on par with others. Securing good positions in the university proves that the teachers and the students have put in their best efforts.”Guru Nanak Managing Board President Harpratap Brar, along with other committee members, congratulated the students, parents and the staff of the commerce department for putting in their best possible efforts and bringing laurels to the institution and the entire community.
