MANCHESTER CITY remain confident of signing Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson.
Multiple sources insist City remain the frontrunners for Anderson, 23, despite intense competition for the England international.

The prospect of Pep Guardiola leaving City after a decade in charge has not dampened the Premier League leaders’ hopes of signing Anderson in a deal that could be worth up to £100million.
Manchester United regard Anderson as their ideal midfield signing but have shortlisted alternatives amid plans to recruit two central midfielders.
United have been monitoring Sandro Tonali, Aurelien Tchouameni, Carlos Baleba, Alex Scott and Adam Wharton ahead of a planned midfield overhaul.
Tchouameni, 26, is approaching the final two years of his Real Madrid contract.

United passed on the opportunity to move for the France midfielder a year before he left Monaco in 2022.
Madrid signed Tchouameni in the same summer that they sold Casemiro, who will be released by United in the summer.
Newcastle are bracing themselves for major sales after a dismal campaign and United admire the 25-year-old Tonali.
Wharton, 22, wants to leave Crystal Palace for a Champions League club while United enquired about Brighton enforcer Baleba in the summer.

Scott, 22, has excelled for Bournemouth, who are remarkably in the running for Europa League qualification with four games remaining.
Arsenal and Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Anderson, who joined Forest in a £35m deal in 2024.
City linchpin Rodri is out of contract next year and the Spaniard has floated the possibility of a return to his homeland.
Real Madrid have been touted as a possible destination for the former Atletico Madrid midfielder.
Although City have plenty of midfielders in reserve, Guardiola has favoured Bernardo Silva in a deeper role as the club captain approaches the end of his glittering nine-year career at the Etihad.
Silva, 31, will leave City when his contract expires in the summer and he was named the man of the match in the 2-1 win against Arsenal on Jattvibeday.
City signed Tijjani Reijnders and Nico Gonzalez last year while fellow midfielder Mateo Kovacic is under contract until next year.
Kovacic, 31, has made three substitute appearances this season due to injury and Gonzalez has made only two Premier League starts this calendar year.
Anderson’s profile has soared over the past year and he is certain to start alongside Declan Rice in the England midfield at the World Cup.
The former Newcastle player scored a classy equaliser against City at the Etihad in March and his contract at Forest expires in 2029.
