Aam Aadmi Party leaders and activists on Saturday gathered outside the main gate of Lovely Professional University (LPU) in Kapurthala district and raised slogans against Ashok Mittal, Chancellor LPU and MP Rajya Sabha. Mittal, along with six other MPs, left AAP and joined BJP on Friday.The activists raised slogans against BJP and said Mittal’s move was a part of the BJP’s “Operation Lotus”. They alleged that Mittal was a traitor of AAP and the people of Punjab would not spare him for betraying the party.Prominent leaders who participated in the protest program were MLAs Pawan Tinu Sabka and Balkar Singh and AAP District President Kapurthala Sarabjit Singh Lubana.They raised slogans such as “Operation Lotus Murdabad” and “Aam Aadmi Party Zindabad”.
