MATT Richardson has revealed why Ant and Dec really clashed with Jimmy Bullard during last night’s I’m A Celeb final.
The chaos-filled live show saw the Geordie duo get involved in the drama in a very rare moment, as Ant disagreed with Jimmy over his clash with Adam Thomas.

Whilst Jimmy insisted Adam had been “intimidating” and “abusive” towards him whilst filming the show in South Africa, Ant disagreed and said this wasn’t what he had seen at the time.
While many saw the move – which left Jimmy seething – as Ant siding with Adam, comedian Matt has revealed there was a deeper reason for the move.
He has also taken the controversial move to side with former footballer JImmy as opposed to King Of The Jungle Adam.
Adam and Jimmy’s clash was edited by ITV to remove expletives used by the former, with their co-stars claiming the feud was “watered down” by the broadcaster.

Taking to TikTok to answer a fan who had asked his opinion on the situation, Matt explained the presenters were actually protecting ITV.
He said: “If you’re a presenter, so, if you’re Ant and Dec in this moment, they got quite annoyed – I was surprised to see it obviously.
“But, Jimmy made the error of blaming the show whilst on the show, that was the mistake he made.
“He obviously said, ‘the edit didn’t show everything’, other people agreed with him.
“I’ve met Jimmy, when I did the I’m A Celeb spin-off years ago, Jimmy got voted off while i was out there and we went on a night out.
He’s really good fun, and he’s very no bulls***.
“So, I think, having met him and hung out with him for the night, If he was in the wrong, I think he’d put his hands up. I think he genuinely feels like he’s in the right.
“I have a friend who works on the production of I’m A Celeb and he – I messaged him this morning about this – he said Jimmy is in the right. He said he was correct but Jimmy handled it badly in the final. He brought it up wrong, he got upset about it, that’s hard.
“It meant that Ant and Dec were defending, ultimately, Ant and Dec weren’t defending Adam, they were defending the show.”
Matt continued that Jimmy blaming ITV meant that Ant and Dec were left with no choice but to protect the show, and therefore side with Adam.
He said: “Jimmy has said, ‘it was edited, it was much worse than it was, I stand by what I said. You edited it to protect Adam’, basically is what he was saying.
“That is accusing the show of something and they are on the show, so they have to then take the side of the edit.
“Even if the show had done that, and I don’t know if they did, they’re never going to back Jimmy when he’s accusing it of editing to protect Adam.”
Matt doubled down on his support for Jimmy, and said that all the sportsman really wanted was an apology.
“I don’t think he had a problem with Adam by that point, it seemed like he was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll take an apology’.
“They are never gonna agree with him because they’re on the show and they’re part of the show
“I really like Jimmy Bullard on stuff”.
