With a view to make the process of probation/ACP clearance, leave management and other service matters more efficient and transparent, the Punjab state health and family welfare department has accorded approval for use of integrated human resource management system (i-HRMS/e-file system) for all such processes.Accordingly, to initiate and complete the process of creation of user IDs and subsequent mapping, all districts are requested to update the requisite information of all medical officers and regular clerical staff.The above exercise must be completed by April 30, positively.Confirming this, Punjab Civil Medical Services Association (PCMSA) president Dr Akhil Sarin said it was a long pending demand which was fulfilled.He said earlier, there used to be procedural delays and it usually took several weeks to months for such clearances or sanctions.To put an end to the ills plaguing the system, an efficient use of the i-HRMS portal will be a tool to pave the way for accountable and time bound clearance of official formalities at all levels, he added.“The PCMSA firmly believes that this is a major administrative reform, which will eventually eliminate unnecessary procedural delays in the clearance/sanctioning of NOCs, leaves, modified assured career progression (MACP), probation, thereby ensuring a transparent, accountable and time bound mechanism”, he said.
