Charles and Camilla joined Trump and Melania at the state dinner just hours after the King’s address to Congress.

Charles and Camilla arrived in Washington DC on Monday for a historic four-day state visit, where they were greeted by the president and the First Lady at the White House.

Along with her husband, Melania received the royals while wearing a double-breasted butter yellow crepe suit by American designer Adam Lippes.

She accompanied this look with a pair of snakeskin pumps from Manolo Blahnik.

Melania and the president greeted Britain’s monarchs again – this time accompanied by a full parade – on the South Lawn as they arrived at the White House on Tuesday.

At the welcome ceremony, Melania wore a white silk and wool jacket and skirt from Ralph Lauren.

She accessorized the fitted look with a straw hat by Eric Javits and matching Manolo heels.

At Tuesday’s ceremony, Trump gave a passionate speech praising the “strongest and deepest of roots” between the UK and the US.

He also shared an anecdote about how his mother – the late Mary McLeod – once had a “crush” on Charles.

Charles and Camilla arrived in the US just days after an attempt on Trump’s life at the White House Correspondents’ dinner, which sparked security concerns for the royals.

Trump and the First Lady were rushed out of the ballroom at the Washington Hilton on Saturday night after a gunman opened fire.

There were calls for Charles to cancel his overseas trip to the US due to safety concerns.

However, Buckingham Palace gave the green light after talks with US officials, where they insisted on “minor adjustments” to security in the wake of the attack.
