Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag came under scrutiny after a video allegedly showing him vaping inside the team’s dressing room went viral during their Indian Premier League 2026 clash against Punjab Kings in New Chandigarh on Tuesday.While the official IPL Code of Conduct does not explicitly mention vaping, e-cigarettes are illegal in India under national law. Their manufacture, sale, and use are prohibited under the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes Act (PECA), 2019. As a result, using them on stadium premises could be considered a serious violation.The RR captain found himself in the spotlight again after the clip surfaced during the live broadcast of the Punjab Kings match.The footage, which reportedly occurred during the 16th over of the innings, quickly spread across social media platforms.On the field, Rajasthan Royals defeated Punjab Kings by six wickets in their IPL match on Tuesday. Invited to bat, opener Prabhsimran Singh scored 59 up front, while Marcus Stoinis provided the late flourish with an unbeaten 62 off 22 balls, helping Punjab Kings post 222 for 4.The Royals then produced a collective batting effort to chase down the target with four balls to spare.
