Karanbir Singh Waraich (24) from Shivdaspur village in Bassi Pathana subdivision of the district has died in a road accident in the US.AdvertisementHis family members said Karanbir went to the US on a study visa three years ago in the hope of a bright future. After completing his studies there, he used to drive a truck-trailer in California.They said Karanbir was driving a truck on a highway when it hit the road divider and overturned. The truck caught fire and Karanbir did not get a chance to get out of the vehicle.Karanbir had bought a new car on his birthday a few days ago and was very happy these days, the family said. His grandmother said Karanbir was a sociable man. He used to call home almost every day to enquire about the well-being of the family members, she added.
