DERBY second-fav Raaheeb has been ruled OUT of the £2million race.
The three-year-old Owen Burrows-trained colt was so impressive in landing last week’s Classic Trial at Sandown.
He had been trimmed into as short as 7-1 second-fav for the world’s most prestigious Flat race, behind Aidan O’Brien’s 6-1 market leader Benvenuto Cellini.
But Angus Gold, owner Shadwell’s racing representative, confirmed the decision has been made not to run.
He said: “Owen feels he will not be able to have him in peak condition for the Derby.
“Therefore, sadly, the decision has been made to bypass Epsom and give Raaheeb the time he needs.
“We hope to have him ready for important targets later this summer.”
