In a remarkable feat, the Himachal Pradesh police has ranked first in the country in Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) average response time for April 2026.The state police achieved this feat with an average response time of 3 minutes and 36 seconds, making it the fastest in the country in terms of quick response. The police also recorded an average call-taker response time of two minutes and one second, and an average dispatcher response time of 12 seconds.Himachal Pradesh Police was followed by Dadra and Daman and Diu Police, which have an average response time of four minutes and 36 seconds. Lakshadweep Police ranked third with an average response time of five minutes, while Chandigarh Police stood fourth with an average response time of five minutes and eight seconds.
