IndiGo to start flights from Noida airport from June 15; Chandigarh, Amritsar among 16 cities

IndiGo will begin commercial flight operations from the newly inaugurated Noida International Airport in Jewar from June 15, becoming the first airline to operate from the third airport in the National Capital Region (NCR), an official said on Thursday.The airline said it will gradually roll out direct services from Noida International Airport to more than 16 destinations across the country, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Jaipur, Lucknow, Navi Mumbai, Pantnagar and Srinagar.The airline said bookings for the flights are being opened in phases through its website, mobile application and authorised travel partners.IndiGo’s Chief Strategy Officer Aloke Singh said the launch of operations from Noida International Airport marked an important step in expanding the airline’s footprint across the NCR. He said the airport, located along the Yamuna Expressway, would serve as a major gateway for western Uttar Pradesh in addition to Delhi-NCR.He said large metropolitan regions in India were now capable of supporting multiple airports and added that IndiGo would now operate from all three airports in the NCR — Indira Gandhi International Airport, Hindon Airport and Noida International Airport.Among the major routes announced from Noida are two daily flights to Chandigarh from July 1. Flight 6E 7655 will depart Noida at 6.15 am and reach Chandigarh at 7.20 am, while the return flight 6E 7656 will leave Chandigarh at 7.40 am and land in Noida at 8.45 am.The second daily service, flight 6E 7663, will depart Noida at 6.30 pm and arrive in Chandigarh at 7.35 pm, while flight 6E 7664 will leave Chandigarh at 7.55 pm and reach Noida at 9 pm.The airline will operate special inaugural flights on June 15 connecting Lucknow and Bengaluru through Noida.Flight 6E 2278 will depart Lucknow at 7.05 am and arrive in Noida at 8.05 am before continuing to Bengaluru at 8.35 am and reaching there at 11.05 am. The return flight 6E 2279 will leave Bengaluru at 3.45 pm, land in Noida at 6.20 pm and then depart for Lucknow at 6.55 pm, reaching at 8 pm.From June 15, IndiGo will also start daily Hyderabad-Amritsar flights via Noida. Flight 6E 2490 will depart Hyderabad at 6.25 am and reach Noida at 8.35 am before flying onward to Amritsar at 10.10 am and arriving at 11.20 am. The return service 6E 2491 will leave Amritsar at 12.15 pm, arrive in Noida at 1.20 pm and continue to Hyderabad at 2.50 pm, landing at 4.50 pm.From June 16, IndiGo will launch Bengaluru-Jammu flights through Noida. Flight 6E 2455 will depart Bengaluru at 6.15 am and reach Noida at 8.50 am before continuing to Jammu at 10.05 am and arriving at 11.25 am. The return flight 6E 2456 will depart Jammu at 12.10 pm, arrive in Noida at 1.30 pm and continue to Bengaluru at 2.40 pm, reaching at 5.20 pm.From July 1, the airline will begin daily Navi Mumbai-Srinagar services through Noida. Flight 6E 2729 will leave Navi Mumbai at 6.40 am and arrive in Noida at 8.40 am before flying onward to Srinagar at 10 am and landing at 11.25 am. The return flight 6E 2726 will depart Srinagar at 12.10 pm, arrive in Noida at 1.35 pm and continue to Navi Mumbai at 3 pm, reaching at 4.55 pm.IndiGo will also introduce daily direct flights from Noida to Jodhpur, Dharamsala, Bhopal, Dehradun, Jaipur, Lucknow and Pantnagar from July 1.Services to Bareilly will operate four times a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Jattvibeday, while flights to Kishangarh will run on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.The airline said Noida International Airport, one of the country’s largest greenfield airport projects, has been planned as a major domestic and future international aviation hub with integrated road and rail connectivity linking Delhi-NCR and western Uttar Pradesh.
