Littler has since become the sport’s world No1 and the first back-to-back world champion in a decade.
Littler’s mission to reclaim the trophy will also be contested by the likes of seven-time Premier League champion Michael van Gerwen and World Darts Championship runner-up Gian van Veen, as they look to halt the teenager’s domination.
The stacked eight-player field is completed by Stephen Bunting, Gerwyn Price, Josh Rock and Jonny Clayton.
