GREEN Party Zack Polanski claimed he worked for the Ministry of Justice, it was reported last night.

The party’s leader had boasted on his campaign website that he was “currently working at the Ministry of Justice on their training & diversity programmes”.

But the MoJ has no record of Polanski ever being employed by the department.

When asked about the claim, a spokesman for Mr Polanski said he had worked for the “justice assessment committee”, which he described as “a programme to improve the diversity of justice appointments based in the MOJ”.

No such committee exists, with the only known public reference to a “justice assessment committee” appearing to be a comment made by Mr Polanski during a City Hall meeting in 2024.

His team admitted to the Telegraph he had actually been hired through an agency supplying actors for courtroom role-play exercises linked to the Judicial Appointments Commission.

The work involved acting in mock legal scenarios for would-be judges – with performers playing criminals, prison guards and lawyers during recruitment tests.

The agency involved, Kreate, advertises itself as an events and staffing company providing a “diverse bunch of lovelies” for promotional work and acting jobs.

The row is the latest headache for Polanski, whose career history has already sparked scrutiny over his past as an actor, hypnotherapist and self-styled NLP practitioner.

It was also reported last night that Polanski had previously been forced to correct claims he was a spokesman for the British Red Cross – despite repeatedly presenting himself that way while campaigning.

The Green figure is separately facing questions over council tax arrangements after reports linked him to a narrowboat moored in a non-residential marina in Hackney, described in an advert as his partner’s “amazing home” for the past three years.
