The 19-year-old victim was rushed to Hillingdon Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

On the night of the shooting, the victim had approached Shareef at a crowded motorcycle gathering.

Shareef threatened the teenager, who proceeded to run away.

Video footage shows the teenager lingering on a main road while motorbikes speed past.

Shareef swerves his motorbike around the teen and shoots him in the neck, leaving the victim to collapse onto the floor.

The gunman, of Norman Crescent, Hounslow, then drives off and heads towards his home address.

Surveillance footage at Hillingdon Hospital shows the victim being carried into the building and through its corridors with emergency services members rushing alongside him.

Hospital staff reported the victim to the Met Police at 00.15am,

After combing over CCTV footage and collecting witness statements, the Met Police identified Shareef as the shooter and arrested him on August 24, 2025.

The firearm used in the shooting and a magazine were found in a stolen vehicle and were seized, along with the vehicle itself.

While at Kingston Crown Court, the 22-year-old was found guilty of attempted murder on May 11 and was jailed for 27 years.

Detective Constable Paulina Rosol, who led the investigation, said:“This case displays the consequences of gun violence, which can spill out onto our streets.

“Shareef went as far as to hide the weapon he used in a stolen vehicle, from which officers also seized the jacket he wore during the attack.

“This jacket was later found to have gunshot residue on it, directly implicating Shareef and shattering his facade of innocence.

“Last year alone we saw a 75 per cent increase in the number of firearms taken off London’s streets.

“We will continue to target those who carry them and use violence to threaten our communities.”
