REAL MADRID president Florentino Perez launched into a bizarre sexist rant during a heated presser amid a turbulent season that has left his club trophyless for a second year in a row.
Perez, 79, called an “emergency” press conference where he lashed out at journalists – especially female – claiming their coverage is “attacking” Real.

The businessman first targeted Spanish national daily newspaper ABC and a woman that he questioned whether she knows football following her recent article about Los Blancos.
Perez ranted: “Real Madrid is the most powerful and valuable brand in the world, the club with the greatest global reputation.
“Why would journalists want to mess with the most prestigious and valued club, the one with the most fans in the world?
“This club belongs to everyone. And it has the most valuable squad in the world. Their only goal was to attack Real Madrid and its president.

“And I’m sorry, because my father read ABC and subscribed many years ago, but now I’ve decided to cancel my ABC subscription to honour my father, who will be grateful.
“How can ABC do this? Nobody bought it, nobody bought it and it caused a schism there. So I’m announcing that I’m canceling my ABC subscription; I’ll honor my father better by canceling it.
“Look at the two articles they wrote today, by a woman who I don’t know if she knows anything about football or not.”
Perez then went on to use questionable etiquette as he gave the floor to veteran Fox journalist Lola Hernandez.

The Spaniard said: “That girl, who has the right to speak. All of you are very ugly.”
Perez’s controversial behaviour left many fans unimpressed as they stormed social media to criticise his demeanour.
A supporter posted: “Losing the plot.”
Another commented: “What the hell is going on?”
A third wrote: “Lmaoooo he’s actually lost it.”
This fan typed: “???”
And another added: “Oh my God!”
Perez also scrolled through his mobile phone and accused ABC of making up rumours that he was “tired” because he was suffering from “terminal cancer”, adding: “They must be Atletico [Madrid] fans.”
The Real chief announced he was convening new elections – in which it is anticipated he will be the only candidate.

Mourinho is reportedly edging closer to a return
Many wondered if the presser was going to focus on the speculation linking Jose Mourinho with a return to the club’s dugout, but the president refused to comment on the matter.
Perez added: “I’m not going to talk about coaches or players. We’re not at that procedural stage yet; we’re focused on ensuring that Real Madrid belongs to its members.
“So we’re not talking about football today; there’s a more pressing matter I need to address.
“My health is perfect. I get up early in the morning and I’m the last one to go to bed, I work like a dog.
“There are people who want to take over Real Madrid, the club we’ve made the greatest in the world.
“To those who operate in the shadows, I say let them run in the elections. Now they have their chance. I will defend the interests of Real Madrid.”
