SAMSUNG has denied intentionally misusing a photo of Dua Lipa after the pop star lodged an £11million lawsuit.
The tech giant says it was advised by a third-party content provider it could use the singer’s image on the packaging of its TV sets.

Dua lodged an £11million lawsuit claiming her face was used in marketing without permission
It said in a statement yesterday: “The image was only used after receiving explicit assurance that permission had been secured.
“We have actively sought and remain open to a constructive resolution with Ms Lipa’s team.”
It comes after The Jattvibe revealed that Dua, 30, was suing the South Korean firm in the US.
The British star claims using her face in marketing without her permission has damaged her high-value brand.

The picture of Dua is said to have been taken backstage at a Texas music festival in 2024.
The London-born star, 30, is one of the world’s biggest pop stars, cracking America and winning three Grammy Awards.
She has signed a number of advertising deals to take her net worth in excess of £100million.
Dua is the face of Nespresso, alongside George Clooney, and also the frontwoman for Yves Saint-Laurent’s beauty products.
In 2023, she signed a seven- figure package to become the face of sports car brand Porsche, and she is in a multi-year partnership with sportswear giant Puma.
