Aiden Turner, who plays Declan O’Hara, flashed an EastEnders legend in the opening episode of the second season of Rivals.
This comes after his character has sex in the shower with Maude (Victoria Smurfit) the two go from lovemaking to rowing, and she kicks him out of their hotel room nude.
He then bumps into Pam St Clement, 84, best known as the iconic Pat Butcher, who made a surprise cameo in the show.
She thought she recognised him as a famous Irish TV interviewer and, because the show is set in the 1980s, she does a double-take and asks: “Is that Terry Wogan?”

Fans were left stunned at the scene, with one tweeting: “That’s Pat Butcher who was watching a naked Aidan Turner running down the hallway covering his c*** with a packet of crunchy nut cornflakes.”
Another added: “An Aidan Turner nude scene whilst simultaneously getting a Pam St Clement cameo? That was very overwhelming very fast.”
A third penned: “The way I screamed when Pat Butcher showed up in Rivals you would’ve thought she was Beyonce“.
Meanwhile, the executive producer, Dominic Treadwell Collins, reckons the show’s success is down to the fact that just like Jilly Cooper he’s made sure all the saucy sex scenes are filmed for women’s pleasure.
Dominic said: “Jilly studied humans and she studied sex.
“She was like the David Attenborough of sex. She really understood humans and that’s why it’s such a big part of her books and of the show.
“We think season two is even stronger, there’s a swagger to it.
“I think the show is summed up by the theme tune, a duelling operatic duet between a man and a woman reaching orgasm.
“I think that’s the team. We’re all working together, looking at every frame in the edit and remembering this is a show about female pleasure.
“So much television lingers over women’s bodies and we said, as a show, we’ll linger over men’s bodies!”
Another man not afraid to show off his body in this series is former EastEnders star Danny Dyer, who plays millionaire Freddie Jones.
He’s confessed that he filmed a full frontal scene in this series, but Dominic said they’ve spared his blushes.
He laughed: “Let’s just say there’s a lot of strategically placed bubbles from a bubble bath! So it’s not…full Danny!
“We’ve been really cautious about not being gratuitous. All the way through there’s a line with the show where you could be watching it and feel a bit uncomfortable. A bit like you are intruding.
“The whole point is you are with our characters. You are in the bedroom with them. We’re very careful in the edit, if suddenly the scene goes too far or gets too explicit, we pull back.”
